What our clients say
My introduction to Orison Publishers, Inc., occurred on Facebook when I asked for help with uploading my book to IngramSpark. I received an instant response from Marsha Blessing and soon my book was available. Thus began a connection with Orison Publishers. Marsha is so responsive and cordial; she really listened to my desires for my next book. The cover design totally encapsulated the story in one picture. She made the process pleasurable and exciting. Book #4 was submitted to her on November 15, 2022. Three months later, it was ready for publication. I can definitely recommend that you utilize the services provided by Orison Publishers, Inc.

Follow-through and follow-up were fantastic as well as their desire to make sure I was getting what I had hoped for. I was driven to write a book for a couple decades and never seemed to make the time to do it any justice. Then one day my business ran out of work for several months, and I found myself with “the time” but had no idea how to “do it.” So, I called a ministry friend whom I knew had already published a couple books, and he gave me two important steps to take:
1. Start writing!
2. When you feel it’s done, contact Marsha Blessing.
Well, I followed Mike’s advice and am pleased to recommend the same to anyone wanting to be published. Marsha had my writing edited and published without delay, and my book is still in print today, which makes me feel great.

I came to Marsha to publish a book I had already written and illustrated. I have a Communications Degree from PSU and have worked in the industry for decades. I thought I was ready to go, but I quickly learned that I was not. This was because Marsha provided a perspective that I never considered, which included professional editing beyond typical grammar to ensure that the audience we wanted to get the book in front of had appropriate content. Marsha was very patient with me and did a lot of hand-holding. It was a process, and publishing a book is very personal. It requires someone to lead an author while being sensitive to a very personal subject matter. I’ve seen others go it alone, and there is a big difference in the look and feel of the publishing. If you want to be proud of your work, then you need to consider working with a professional like Marsha.

When I completed the Contact Form on the Orison Publishers website, I never expected a response. I was pleasantly surprised when Marsha Blessing reached out to me. She was so kind and informative and very willing to explore the overall concept I had for a book series. As someone who never expected to become an author, Marsha made me feel excited about the possibility that I could publish a book. Marsha shared my first manuscript with her evaluator and editor. What a great experience. I learned so much through the editing process, including improving on my word choices, punctuation, and seeing a new way to look at my story through a child’s eyes. Marsha worked very closely with the illustrators to convey my words into creative images that would delight children. Once the illustrations were finalized, Marsha and her graphics team worked to place my characters’ words precisely on each page and quickly get the book to the printer. As my publisher, she always looked for ways to keep my costs manageable in order to make my books available at an affordable price.
My experience with Marsha has been incredible. She is the consummate professional. She has always been available to me regardless of her busy schedule and always willing to provide me with the best advice. Her patience has been appreciated. Above all, she offered me an opportunity to be an author when I believed that most publishers would not have given me a chance. I can never thank her enough for her faith in my Sadie Series, which has resulted in five published books that continue to touch many children’s lives. I would recommend Orison Publishers, Inc., to any author looking for an incredible experience and successful book release.

Marsha Blessing helped me write and illustrate my first children’s book. Marsha and her team were professional and easy to work with. They helped with editing of my writing to make it the best version of my original thoughts and provided clear guidance with all of my illustrations. This experience led to another author hiring me to illustrate two of his children’s books. I highly recommend Marsha Blessing and her team for the publication of your book; you will be pleased with their efficiency and knowledge of the publishing world.

Being brand-new to the publishing business, I knew virtually nothing. Marsha was so helpful and easy to work with! Always professional, she offers a high-quality service to authors from the beginning—the initial evaluation—to the end, the print-ready package. There were great choices for the front cover and thoughtful design in the layout. She walked me through the whole process, answering every question and offering options she felt were the best for me and my project. She has good people working with her behind the scenes for every aspect of the editing, design and publishing. She was a pleasure to work with, and I highly recommend her and Orison Publishers!

I always dreamed of writing a book, but I had not thought about the process and how to go about it. I will always be grateful that I was introduced to Marsha Blessing and her team at Orison Publishers, Inc. From reviewing the potential of my story, to editing, finding an illustrator for my children’s book, doing all the copyright paperwork, and setting it up for online ordering through Amazon and other online venues, it was so seamless. Marsha checked in often and kept me on target with reviewing and approving the illustrations and finalizing the cover along with getting endorsements and doing my dedication and bio pages. Her support through the development of my book was very welcome. Not only was she professional but also very kindhearted, always putting me at ease through this journey. Of course, I’ll be reaching out to her when I am ready to write my next book!

Author, All the “Muches”
When writers write, they often lose sight of their audience and the larger purpose; they just write and endeavor to be a blessing to others. However, many times, they miss the mark because they did not have the assistance they should have received. Without a good publisher, a book will get lost on the shelf, which is not why we write.
I have never had a publishing house take the care that Orison has with my work and my heart within it—specifically Marsha Blessing. I have never had a publisher be so attentive and thoughtful. You never have to wonder what is going on because she keeps you constantly informed. She has been able to present insights that were held deep in my words to bring about a greater work. She accomplishes this with a great understanding and tolerance, as does her whole team.
I can honestly say they have made my books better than they were when I wrote them. The editing staff always presents a change that increases the flow of the page without altering its content. The editors have made my words more impactful. As hard as we endeavor to have an impact, we cannot do it alone. This is the help and encouragement that you need. I wish you well as you go forward on your journey with Marsha and the team at Orison; it can only be amazing!

Marsha is a listener who isn’t afraid to interject when she has a solid suggestion. She can be a hand-holder and still be not afraid to say, “You might want to rethink this,” or “OK, now I understand your meaning!” She is easily accessible and prompt—even on vacation!
Her wealth of knowledge in the publishing industry is invaluable when it comes to editing, formatting, choosing a printer, and marketing. Orison Publishing with Marsha at the helm is a complete package. What’s not to like and trust?!

Belvoir Media Group has been working with Orison Publishers, Inc., for over five years. Over that period, we have received exceptional service and consider Marsha more of a business partner than a vendor. We constantly evaluate vendors and expect a high standard of performance. I’m please to say that Marsha’s company has met and exceeded every challenge we have given them and highly recommend Orison Publishers, Inc.

Given the chance, I’d definitely work with Marsha Blessing again! I’ve had the tremendous pleasure to work with her as Bowhunter’s production manager. She brought a ton of outstanding publishing experience with her when she came to Primedia, and in a short time it became clear that she’d be a real resource for us—someone you could count on come crunch-time. As associate publisher/managing editor and publisher of the magazine, I had daily contact with Marsha, and I have to say that, first, she’s a great person, and, second, she’s a very competent person. She’s a real go-getter, an enthusiastic top performer.
In all my dealings with Marsha, I always knew that she would get me the straight scoop. She’d got me the answers I needed quickly and professionally. No matter how complicated my request, and when problems arose (as they do sometimes when you publish nine issues a year at around 1,000 pages), Marsha always kept her cool and looked for answers. And she was always willing to work with the magazine staff to get things done. That’s one of the reasons that our magazine has improved so much in recent years. Marsha Blessing made us look good. As you can see, I recommend Marsha Blessing highly, and I know that she’ll do an admirable job for your magazine as well.
